Merry Christmas! I'd appreciate a bit of help. I just got myself a Mac Airbook and have only just realised that my Steam game of Sims 3 isn't valid with the mac, and so I was told to gather the CD Keys from Steam (which I have done) and download Origin to validate the keys and download them into the Mac. However, It says that the 'code has already been used'. After scouring the internet for other solutions, I was told to validate it through the Sims 3 website directly, but the same instance of 'the code has already been used' comes up. I'm not sure what else to do, and I've been told that EA Support aren't usually a big help to Steam users If you can give any advice, it'd be well appreciated. It's showing up for other games, just not The Sims 3. It's nowhere on the game page in my library, so I think something got messed up. E: yeah, it should show up between the words 'DLC' and 'Community Guides' but it just isn't there.
I can't upload a screenshot here, but, that's what's going on. Originally posted by: I did this, and there is NOTHING showing up for CD Keys for The Sims 3. It's showing up for other games, just not The Sims 3.
It's nowhere on the game page in my library, so I think something got messed up. I only got the keys through my old Windows laptop. So is it impossible to even SEE the CD Keys without using a Windows laptop to download the client? Did you have to log into Steam on a Windows machine, and did you have to install The Sims 3 on the machine to see the CD Keys? I don't have a Windows machine nor does anyone I know so this is gonna be a mess.
-_-; I sent a request in to support but I don't know if I will get any help. For the OP: It sounds like it's possible you already registered the game, so it's already on your Origin account. You just need to download Origin to the Mac, and then download Sims 3 through it. Free download for mac games. You don't need to 'Register' the keys each time you want to play on a different machine - it's a one-time-only deal to attach them to your EA/Origin account.
The Sims 4: Now on Mac. When you purchase any edition of The Sims 4, you gain access to both the PC and Mac versions. If you already own The Sims 4 for PC or just purchased the packaged PC-only version of The Sims 4, you can access the Mac version through Origin. Please note that The Sims 4 for Mac is a digital-only release. Steam has launched a Midweek Madness Sale, slashing 75% off all Sims 3 games! The sale lasts until Friday September 23rd at 10am Pacific. The sale lasts until Friday September 23rd at 10am Pacific. Download now!

For the person having issues finding the keys at all: in my experience*, Steam does not serve the key for Sims 3 until you download the game and start it up the first time. That means you need to download and run on a Windows computer or emulator at least once so that you can obtain the keys, then you can register them to your EA/Origin account via, then you can download and play through Origin on the Mac. * (Though some others are adamant that this is not their own experience it's the only way that I, personally, have known the Steam version to work.). I had a previous email account with the Sims 3, but the email address became riddled with viruses and I couldn't use it anymore. Perhaps it was all on that email address?
Voicemail drop software. Nonetheless, I've sent an email to EA to see if they can do anything for me. I already downloaded Origin, but it wasn't accepting the codes at all. So, I'll just have to wait and see what support say. Thanks anyway.
